Job Description Job Description Pay: $25-$27 per hourLocation: Torrance, CA 90048Schedule: Monday-Friday, 8:00 AM-4:30 PMWork Setting: On-sitePosition OverviewWe are seeking a detail-oriented Health Information Services Technician to support medical records management and Release of Information (ROI) operations. The ideal candidate will have experience processing medical records requests, using Epic's Release of Information module, and maintaining compliance with HIPAA privacy regulations.Key ResponsibilitiesReceive, review, and prioritize medical records requests from patients, physicians' offices, attorneys, law firms, and other authorized parties.Process requests accurately and within established response timeframes.Ensure compliance with HIPAA and applicable state and federal regulations governing the release of confidential medical information.Respond to customer inquiries and assist callers with medical records requests.Educate customers on confidentiality requirements and privacy regulations.Utilize Epic ROI, Kofax, e-fax, and PDF applications to process and manage medical records.Maintain data entry accuracy of at least 95%.Identify and respond to internal and external customer needs while providing professional customer service.QualificationsHigh school diploma or GED required.Minimum of 3 years of relevant experience processing medical records requests.At least 1 year of experience using Epic's Release of Information (ROI) module.Knowledge of HIPAA regulations and Release of Information procedures.Experience with Kofax, PDF applications, and e-fax systems.Strong data entry, organizational, and customer service skills.Excellent attention to detail and ability to handle confidential information professionally.Preferred: RHIT or RHIA certification Company Description InSync Consulting Services is a staffing agency specializing in Healthcare, Commercial, and EOR staffing services.
