Overview

The Health and Wellness Director at Villa de San Antonio will oversee the operations of the Wellness Department in a senior living community, which includes managing a team of Caregivers and Med-Techs. This leadership role involves ensuring quality care for residents while fostering a supportive environment for the team's professional growth.

Key responsibilities

  • Oversee daily operations of assisted living for seniors
  • Hire, train, and develop the care team
  • Provide leadership and direction to the management team
  • Evaluate resident needs and accurately document status in an electronic care system
  • Manage oversight of med techs and delegate nursing duties to unlicensed personnel

Required skills

  • Current RN/LVN license
  • Experience in Assisted Living, Geriatric Nursing, Gerontology, and Hospice
  • Leadership skills in team development
  • Budgeting and cost control
  • Knowledge of service plans, medication management systems, and infection control practices
  • Skills in teamwork promotion and responsiveness to residents
