Overview

The Head Toddler Teacher at North Bay Children will plan, organize, and direct the daily operations of a classroom while adhering to educational standards and best practices. This role requires strong collaboration with staff and effective communication with children and parents, fostering a nurturing and respectful environment.

Key responsibilities

  • Plan and implement diverse, age-appropriate activities aligned with educational philosophies.
  • Maintain a safe and inviting classroom environment, ensuring compliance with licensing regulations.
  • Conduct ongoing assessments and evaluations of children's development.
  • Coordinate program activities, including parent orientations and conferences.
  • Facilitate positive relationships through open communication with parents.
  • Conduct staff evaluations and manage payroll and attendance for direct reports.

Required skills

  • 5 years of experience in Early Childhood Education programs.
  • 24 ECE units, 16 General Education units, and 6 in a specialization area.
  • CTC Master Teacher Permit.
  • Knowledge of Community Care Licensing and California Department of Education requirements.
  • Pediatric First Aid and CPR certification.
  • Proficient in written and spoken Spanish (preferred).
