Overview

The Head Toddler Teacher at North Bay Children will plan, organize, and direct daily operations of the classroom and children under general supervision. This role requires collaboration with the teaching team to maintain a professional environment while ensuring the needs of the children are met through developmentally appropriate activities.

Key responsibilities

  • Plan and implement diverse, age-appropriate activities.
  • Maintain a safe and orderly classroom environment.
  • Conduct ongoing assessments of children’s development.
  • Engage in self-assessment and participate in performance evaluations.
  • Communicate openly with parents and conduct parent-teacher conferences.
  • Implement child behavior intervention strategies as needed.
  • Ensure compliance with California State Licensing regulations.
  • Supervise children at all times.

Required skills

  • 5 years of experience in Early Childhood Education (ECE)
  • 24 ECE units plus 16 General Education units
  • CTC Master Teacher Permit
  • First Aid and CPR certification
  • Proficiency in Spanish (desired)
  • Community Care Licensing knowledge
  • Classroom management skills
  • Strong communication skills
