Job Description

Overview

The Head of Supply Chain at L3Harris Technologies will oversee the Supply Chain organization for the WESCAM Division, leading various functions including procurement, commodity management, and logistics. This senior leadership role is crucial for driving transformational improvements and ensuring alignment with corporate strategy in a fast-paced, defense industry environment.

Key responsibilities

  • Oversee a supply chain organization with over 70 members and a budget of $250-300 million.
  • Define and implement enterprise-wide supply chain strategies aligned with business objectives.
  • Coordinate day-to-day operations and long-term strategic initiatives.
  • Establish and govern procurement policies and standards in compliance with legal requirements.
  • Lead strategic sourcing activities including tenders, bids, and contract negotiations.
  • Manage supplier performance, contract compliance, and supplier development initiatives.
  • Oversee domestic and international logistics and distribution operations.
  • Develop and execute logistics strategies to optimize cost and service reliability.
  • Identify and mitigate supply chain risks.
  • Develop performance metrics for quality, cost, delivery, and compliance.
  • Drive continuous improvement initiatives across supply chain systems and processes.
  • Lead supply chain transformation initiatives leveraging digital tools and analytics.

Required skills

  • Bachelor's Degree and a minimum of 15 years of relevant experience, or a Graduate Degree with a minimum of 13 years.
  • 12+ years of progressive supply chain leadership experience in aerospace or defense.
  • Experience managing complex, multi-site global supply chain organizations.
  • Strong knowledge of defense contracting and regulatory requirements.
  • Proven track record in cost reduction and operational performance improvements.
  • Experience with strategic sourcing and supplier negotiations.
  • Advanced experience with ERP/MRP systems and supply chain planning tools.
  • Professional certifications such as APICS, CPSM, or Lean Six Sigma.
