Overview

Amazon is seeking a Hazmat Waste Coordinator to join the WHS team in one of its Fulfilment Centers. This role involves acting as a liaison between Operations and WHS, focusing on the management and disposal of hazardous waste while supporting health and safety practices across the site.

Key responsibilities

  • Act as a contact point between Operations and WHS departments.
  • Coordinate internal Hazmat waste disposal and optimization of collections with external partners.
  • Monitor and verify the condition of waste containers and storage areas.
  • Manage and update records of hazmat waste generation and classification.
  • Communicate quickly and efficiently with departments to address issues.
  • Support the WHS team with continuous improvement feedback.

Required skills

  • 1+ years of experience with Microsoft Office products
  • High school diploma or equivalent
  • Ability to lift up to 49 pounds and stand/walk for up to 12 hours
  • Flexible work schedule including weekends and holidays
