Overview

DLD Environmental Services Inc is looking for a Hazardous Waste Chemist to conduct research, analysis, and experimentation on hazardous substances. The role involves performing chemical and physical analysis, inspecting waste, and participating in government contracts related to hazardous waste management.

Key responsibilities

  • Perform chemical and physical analysis to isolate, identify, and quantify components of hazardous waste
  • Analyze and test hazardous substances to identify their properties and characteristics
  • Conduct sampling and inspections of hazardous materials
  • Process, label, and store waste
  • Maintain equipment and work areas
  • Participate in chemical waste removals and Household Hazardous Waste (HHW) collections
  • Train new Hazardous Waste Chemists
  • Participate in tank and tanker cleanouts
