Overview

The Hazardous Waste Chemist at DLD Environmental Services Inc is responsible for conducting research and analysis on hazardous substances to support product development and improve analytical methodologies. This role involves performing chemical and physical analysis, maintaining safety protocols, and participating in waste management activities.

Key responsibilities

  • Perform chemical and physical analysis to isolate, identify, and quantify hazardous waste components
  • Analyze and test hazardous substances to identify their properties and characteristics
  • Conduct sampling and inspections of hazardous waste
  • Process, label, and store hazardous waste
  • Participate in chemical waste removals for government contracts
  • Participate in Household Hazardous Waste (HHW) collections
  • Maintain equipment and work areas
  • Train new Hazardous Waste Chemists
  • Participate in tank and tanker cleanouts
