Job Description

Overview

The Hamblen Crisis Services Coordinator at the Helen Ross McNabb Center is responsible for overseeing crisis services, including administrative tasks such as reports and scheduling, as well as providing clinical direction and supervision of designated employees. This role involves meeting with clients, conducting assessments, facilitating referrals, and ensuring that clients receive the necessary care and support.

Key responsibilities

  • Participate as an active member of the crisis team
  • Complete documentation of client care in compliance with standards
  • Provide face-to-face crisis assessments and coverage 24/7/365
  • Facilitate voluntary/involuntary placements or referrals for clients
  • Document all necessary client interactions before end of shift
  • Provide on-call crisis intervention according to established protocols
  • Work with community agencies and families to ensure appropriate client care
  • Manage staff of MCU assessments and guide frontline staff
  • Conduct individual, family, and significant other therapy as needed

Required skills

  • Master's degree in a health-related field
  • Licensed Master's Clinician (LCSW, LPC-MHSP, LMFT)
  • 3-5 years of experience in mental health and crisis intervention
  • Experience with individuals with Severe and Persistent Mental Illnesses and Co-Occurring Disorders
  • Knowledge of cultural diversity and human development
  • Valid driver's license
  • Certification in verbal and physical de-escalation techniques
  • Experience in a crisis setting preferred
