Overview

The Hamblen Crisis Services Coordinator at the Helen Ross McNabb Center plays a vital role in supporting individuals through crisis situations. This position involves both administrative responsibilities, such as scheduling and training, and clinical duties, including client assessments and crisis intervention. The coordinator ensures that clients receive timely care and facilitates connections to necessary services.

Key responsibilities

  • Supervise designated employees and provide clinical direction on-site
  • Complete documentation of client care following CARF and SSOC standards
  • Conduct face-to-face crisis assessments and provide 24/7 crisis coverage
  • Facilitate voluntary/involuntary placements and provide referral information
  • Engage in scheduled administrative team meetings
  • Meet with designated employees for clinical supervision at least monthly
  • Manage staff involved in crisis assessments
  • Ensure clients are seen within a two-hour time frame when possible

Required skills

  • Master's degree in a health-related field (counseling, psychology, social work, or sociology)
  • Licensed Master's Clinician (LCSW, LPC-MHSP, LMFT) with 3-5 years of experience
  • Experience in crisis intervention and working with individuals with severe mental illness
  • Knowledge of cultural diversity, human development, and treatment of mental illness
  • Valid driver's license and ability to maintain a dependable vehicle
  • Computer proficiency
