Overview

The Gynecology Physician Assistant at Yale New Haven Health will provide comprehensive clinical care in collaboration with an interdisciplinary team, focusing on patient assessment, triage, and therapeutic management. This role offers opportunities for professional growth, community engagement, and patient education within a vibrant coastal city environment.

Key responsibilities

  • Provide assessment, triage, and therapeutic management of patients' needs as part of an interdisciplinary team.
  • Collaborate with supervising physicians in accordance with state laws and hospital regulations.
  • Obtain medical histories, perform physical examinations, and manage patient treatment plans.
  • Educate patients and families on care, treatment plans, and available resources.
  • Ensure documentation complies with hospital and regulatory requirements.
  • Engage in quality management and professional development activities.

Required skills

  • Graduate from an accredited Nurse Practitioner or Physician Assistant program
  • Active PA Certification by the NCCPA
  • Connecticut State Physician Assistant License
  • ACLS/BLS Certification
  • Clinical experience as a NP/PA (preferred, but not required)
  • Ability to educate patients and provide psychosocial support
  • Knowledge of healthcare regulatory requirements and standards
