Job Description

Overview

Aeon Fitness and Gymnastics is seeking a Gymnastics Coach to inspire and lead young athletes through safe and engaging gymnastics instruction. This position requires a commitment to fostering a positive environment that promotes lifelong wellness through skill development in fitness and gymnastics for children aged 18 months to 18 years.

Key responsibilities

  • Plan and deliver gymnastics, Ninja, and tumbling classes for various age groups.
  • Design age-appropriate and motivational lessons that promote physical, cognitive, emotional, and social development.
  • Employ teaching styles that adapt to individual skill levels and learning styles.
  • Provide positive encouragement, set personal and team goals, and give constructive feedback to athletes and parents.
  • Maintain a safe and clean training environment and adhere to professional guidelines.
  • Monitor and track student progress and collaborate with other coaches and staff to ensure the best learning experience.
  • Represent the culture of lifelong fitness and wellness and nurture that mindset in students.

Required skills

  • Previous experience coaching gymnastics or related youth fitness/Ninja activities.
  • Ability to teach and engage with children of all ages.
  • Strong communication and interpersonal skills.
  • Safe, reliable, positive, and energetic attitude.
  • Willingness to commit to lifelong movement development and wellness.
  • USAG certification or willingness to obtain is preferred.
  • Ability to work evenings and/or weekends as needed.
