Overview

Dedicated School Staffing is seeking Guest Monitors for West Clermont Local Schools in Cincinnati, Ohio. This part-time role focuses on maintaining student safety and promoting positive behavior in various non-classroom settings. The ideal candidate enjoys working with students and remains calm and observant in diverse situations.

Key responsibilities

  • Supervise students in assigned areas including hallways, cafeterias, playgrounds, restrooms, and study halls
  • Promote and reinforce positive behavior and school expectations
  • Monitor student movement during transitions to ensure safety and order
  • Assist with arrival and dismissal procedures
  • Report safety concerns, incidents, or behavioral issues to appropriate staff
  • Maintain a visible, supportive presence to prevent conflicts or unsafe behavior
  • Provide general assistance to teachers or administrators as needed
  • Follow all school policies, procedures, and supervision guidelines

Required skills

  • 21 years of age or older
  • High school diploma or equivalent
  • Valid student monitor/educational aide permit or higher teaching license
  • Clean criminal background checks
  • Strong communication and interpersonal skills
  • Dependability, professionalism, and good judgment
  • Ability to supervise and interact positively with students
  • Ability to remain alert, observant, and calm in busy or unpredictable environments
  • Familiarity with behavior expectations and school safety procedures
  • Experience working with children or in school settings
