Overview

El Monte Sagrado is seeking a dedicated Guest Experience Host to join their team in Taos, New Mexico. This role focuses on creating meaningful and personalized guest experiences, ensuring that every visitor feels welcomed and valued throughout their stay.

Key responsibilities

  • Maintain a high level of positive interaction with coworkers and guests
  • Work closely with back of house teams to fulfill guest needs and requests
  • Focus on exceeding guest expectations, especially when resolving issues
  • Articulate the story and inspiration of the property to guests
  • Deliver seamless service while maintaining guest confidentiality
  • Provide knowledgeable recommendations on hotel events and local attractions
  • Acknowledge and coordinate special occasions for guests
  • Anticipate guest needs and respond with proactive service
  • Follow safety and security policies and procedures
  • Maintain a clean and organized work area

Required skills

  • High school diploma or equivalent
  • 0-2 years of guest-facing hospitality or customer service experience
  • Luxury or high-volume hospitality experience preferred
  • Exceptional guest service skills
  • Strong interpersonal and communication skills
  • Emotional intelligence and proactive service skills
  • Ability to remain professional in fast-paced environments
  • Attention to detail and developing problem-solving skills
  • Basic proficiency in reservation and POS systems, and Microsoft/Google platforms
  • Ability to stand for extended periods and lift up to 25 pounds
  • Flexible availability including nights, weekends, and holidays
