Overview

Whole Foods Market is seeking a part-time Grocery Team Member to support various grocery operations, including stocking, inventory management, and customer service. This role is integral to maintaining the grocery floor, preparing products, and ensuring adherence to company standards and health regulations, all while promoting the mission of nourishing people and the planet.

Key responsibilities

  • Receive and prepare product, maintaining a clean and appealing grocery floor and displays
  • Stock and clean grocery shelves, bulk bins, frozen and dairy cases
  • Monitor and prevent spoilage, communicating waste to buyers and supervisors
  • Assist with periodic inventory checks and maintain back stock in good order
  • Provide excellent customer service and address customer needs in a timely manner
  • Follow established procedures for health, sanitation, and safe work practices
  • Perform opening, mid, and closing duties as assigned, ensuring accuracy of signs and pricing
  • Immediately report safety hazards and violations
  • Work scheduled shifts and attend required trainings and meetings

Required skills

  • Ability to sell proactively and meet customer service expectations
  • Strong communication skills and teamwork orientation
  • Ability to perform basic mathematical operations
  • Familiarity with product knowledge and quality examination
  • Willingness to work in a fast-paced environment
  • Ability to lift up to 50 pounds and work flexible hours, including nights and weekends
