Overview

The Grocery Team Member at Whole Foods Market plays a critical role in supporting the grocery department by receiving, preparing, stocking, and providing excellent customer service. This position is pivotal in ensuring the store maintains high standards of cleanliness, organization, and customer satisfaction while contributing to the company's mission of nourishing people and the planet.

Key responsibilities

  • Ensure a fresh and appealing display by keeping cases and shelves clean and well stocked
  • Stock and clean grocery shelves, bulk bins, frozen, and dairy cases
  • Monitor and prevent spoilage and communicate waste to appropriate team members
  • Assist with sampling programs and keep sample areas full and clean
  • Complete required worksheets related to spoilage, sampling, and inventory
  • Arrive to work station on time and attend required trainings and meetings
  • Provide excellent customer service and address customer needs effectively
  • Maximize sales potential through proper prepping, storing, and merchandising of products
  • Maintain a clean and sanitary working environment
  • Perform opening, mid, and closing duties as assigned
