Overview

As a Grill Cook at Aramark for the University of South Carolina, you will bring recipes to life and express your culinary creativity using fresh ingredients and advanced kitchen equipment. This role involves food preparation, ensuring safety and sanitation, and maintaining high-quality customer service in a dynamic kitchen environment.

Key responsibilities

  • Cook and prepare a variety of food according to production guidelines and standardized recipes
  • Set up workstation with all needed ingredients and equipment
  • Prepare ingredients by measuring, weighing, mixing, chopping, trimming, and peeling
  • Safely use various kitchen utensils including knives
  • Operate kitchen equipment such as ovens, stoves, slicers, mixers, etc.
  • Bake, roast, broil, and steam food using various cooking methods
  • Arrange, garnish, and portion food according to established guidelines
  • Properly store food by adhering to food safety policies
  • Clean and sanitize work areas, equipment, and utensils
  • Maintain excellent customer service and a positive demeanor towards guests and coworkers

Required skills
