Overview

Bellingham Technical College is seeking a Graveyard Custodian responsible for maintaining the cleanliness and safety of campus facilities during overnight hours. The role demands reliability and attention to detail, offering an opportunity to positively impact the Bellingham community by supporting the campus environment for students and staff.

Key responsibilities

  • Clean and sanitize restrooms and fixtures according to established standards
  • Dust and wipe furniture, clean whiteboards, and vacuum floors
  • Stock and maintain inventory of custodial supplies
  • Operate and maintain custodial power equipment and hand tools
  • Strip, clean, burnish, and apply finish to floors
  • Set up and take down equipment for meetings and events
  • Maintain building security by locking and unlocking doors
  • Report unusual activities or safety concerns
  • Monitor building systems and report irregularities
  • Wash and clean windows
  • Respond to building alarm calls and maintain communication with Facilities teams
