Overview

The Graduate Leadership Development Program at Peckham Industries is a structured, 18-24 month rotational program aimed at developing future leaders within the company's materials operations. Participants will engage in various core functional areas including quarry operations, plant administration, and quality control, providing them with hands-on experience and leadership training for roles such as Assistant Plant Manager upon completion.

Key responsibilities

  • Uphold and promote safety culture by adhering to company policies
  • Participate in rotations across materials operations to understand the business
  • Support quality control through material sampling and testing
  • Assist with quarry operations and regulatory compliance efforts
  • Engage in hot mix asphalt plant operations and performance monitoring
  • Analyze operational data to support decision-making and improvement initiatives
  • Collaborate with sales and customer teams to understand customer needs
  • Demonstrate leadership potential through cross-functional teamwork

Required skills

  • Bachelor's degree in Mining, Civil, Industrial, or Mechanical Engineering, Construction Management, Business Administrat
  • Strong academic performance with a minimum GPA of 3.5 preferred
  • Excellent communication skills, both verbal and written
  • Proficient in Microsoft Excel, Outlook, Teams, and Word
  • Strong organizational and time management skills
  • Problem-solving and adaptability skills
  • Attention to detail and accuracy
  • Clean driving record and reliable transportation
  • Legal right to work in the U.S.
