Overview

The Golf Course Greenskeeper I at Golf Club Los Angeles is responsible for routine labor and equipment operation associated with golf course maintenance, landscaping, and construction. This role focuses on improving both the conditions and aesthetics of the golf course and surrounding grounds.

Key responsibilities

  • Assist with daily golf course setup and maintenance including mowing, rolling, and raking bunkers
  • Perform general maintenance tasks such as string trimming, planting, and cleaning
  • Assist with construction tasks including drainage and irrigation repair
  • Contribute to golf course landscaping efforts by planting and removing plants
  • Operate various mowers, utility vehicles, and equipment for maintenance
  • Clean debris and trash from the property and maintain cleanliness of equipment and facilities

Required skills

  • Experience in landscaping, turf management, and general maintenance
  • Ability to operate mowers, tractors, golf carts, and handheld power tools
  • Basic math and reasoning skills for problem solving
  • Strong teamwork and communication skills
  • Ability to perform heavy physical labor and work in various weather conditions
  • Valid California Driver's License
