Overview

Goldfish Swim School - Johns Creek is seeking a Swim Instructor to educate young children on water safety and swimming techniques. This role offers the opportunity to work in a fun, engaging environment with a focus on impacting children's lives and providing educational experiences.

Key responsibilities

  • Provide swim instruction based on the Goldfish Swim School curriculum
  • Enforce safety rules and regulations to prevent accidents
  • Evaluate students' progress and complete required paperwork
  • Interact with parents/guardians regarding students' swim skills
  • Inspect pool areas for maintenance or cleanliness issues
  • Maintain proper storage of all pool equipment
  • Report accidents and incidents to management
  • Attend mandatory workshops and in-service training
  • Perform light cleaning duties as needed

Required skills

  • Experience as a certified lifeguard, youth sports instructor, camp counselor, or childcare provider
  • Two or more years as a swimming instructor
  • Lifeguard, CPR/AED, and First Aid certification
  • Interpersonal communication skills
  • Organizational skills
  • Problem solving and creative thinking skills
