Overview

Global Business Development Manager - PLP AEOLUS Business Unit: Aeolus - PLP-Insights Location: Global Reports To: Global Business Development Director - Aeolus About PLP-Insights PLP-Insights develops advanced IoT solutions for the global Power Transmission & Distribution (T&D) industry. A growing portfolio of products and services within the PLP with Aeolus Line Monitoring as its first initiative . Combining the agility of a start-up with PLP's global presence, the division is focused on delivering innovative monitoring technologies that improve grid reliability and performance. Role Purpose Lead the global business development of PLP-Insights products and services by identifying, developing, and securing commercial opportunities with utilities, transmission system operators (TSOs), EPC contractors, and strategic partners. Working closely with regional PLP companies, the role is responsible for driving revenue growth, expanding market presence, and supporting international commercial strategy. Key Responsibilities Develop and execute global business development and market growth strategies. Identify and secure new business opportunities within utility, TSO, and EPC markets. Develop and build strategic relationships with customers, partners. Develop and maintain dashboards. Work closely within ternal engineering, product development, operations, leadership teams and regional PLP organizations. Lead proposals, tenders, commercial negotiations, and contract discussions. Represent PLP-Insights at customer meetings and industry events. Support pricing, forecasting, and commercial planning Act as the commercial interface between customers and technical teams. Deliver technical and commercial presentations to customers and stakeholders. Qualifications & Experience Essential Bachelor's degree in electrical or mechanical engineering, or a related technical discipline. Minimum 4 years' international B2B business development or technical sales experience within the Power T&D or EPC sectors. Experience selling complex technical solutions and managing long sales cycles. Experience working across international markets and intercompany environments. Preferred MBA or postgraduate qualification in International Trade, Energy Economics, or related field. Established relationships with global (TSO, s), utility organizations such as National Grid (UK), RTE (France), TenneT (Germany), PowerGrid (India) . Proven success securing major infrastructure projects or framework agreements. Technical & Commercial Knowledge of overhead line (OHL) systems, transmission infrastructure, towers, conductors, and associated hardware. International infrastructure contracts, commercial negotiations, and risk management. Key Competencies Strong commercial, negotiation, and relationship management skills. Ability to communicate effectively with both technical and executive audiences. Strategic thinker with strong business acumen.
