Job Description

Overview

Montgomery & Associates is looking for a GIS & Data Specialist 1 to join their team in Tucson, Arizona. This entry-level position focuses on providing technical support for hydrologic projects and involves GIS data production, management, and analysis, with an emphasis on creating cartographic services and supporting a custom data management system.

Key responsibilities

  • Develop report-quality maps in ArcGIS Pro and other data plots
  • Create and manage geospatial datasets, geodatabases, and relational databases
  • Coordinate with project teams regarding GIS requirements and deliverables
  • Conduct geospatial data analysis for projects
  • Support M&A's custom data management system, including data entry and management
  • Support mobile data collection activities using Esri field applications
  • Create and maintain web-based maps and applications using ArcGIS Online
  • Select appropriate designs and layouts for illustrations
  • Perform other related duties as assigned

Required skills

  • Familiarity with ESRI's ArcGIS software, including ArcGIS Pro
  • Experience in GIS, computer science, or related disciplines
  • Understanding of data management in relational and geospatial databases
  • Good analytical and problem-solving skills
  • Ability to communicate effectively in a team-oriented environment
  • Excellent interpersonal and organizational skills
