Overview

Montgomery & Associates is seeking a GIS & Data Specialist 1 to join their Tucson, Arizona team. In this entry-level role, the specialist will provide technical support for hydrologic projects, focusing on GIS data production, management, analysis, and cartographic services. The position involves developing high-quality maps, coordinating GIS project requirements, and assisting with database management and web-based data applications.

Key responsibilities

  • Develop report-quality maps in ArcGIS Pro
  • Create and manage geospatial datasets and relational databases
  • Coordinate with project teams regarding GIS requirements
  • Conduct geospatial data analysis for projects
  • Support M&A's custom data management system
  • Support mobile data collection activities using Esri field applications
  • Create and maintain web-based maps and applications using ArcGIS Online
  • Perform other related duties as assigned

Required skills

  • Experience with ESRI's ArcGIS software, including ArcGIS Pro
  • Data management in relational and geospatial databases
  • Analytical and problem-solving skills
  • Ability to create illustrations related to groundwater hydrology
