Overview

The GI- Endoscopy Clinical Nurse at BJC HealthCare provides direct patient care and collaborates with an interprofessional team to develop and implement individual care plans. This full-time position promotes professional development and empowers nurses to progress in their careers while focusing on patient-centered care in a healing environment.

Key responsibilities

  • Provides direct patient care activities including assessment, diagnosis, planning, implementation, and evaluation within nursing standards.
  • Educates patients and families on managing illnesses or injuries and post-treatment care.
  • Participates in activities promoting patient safety, quality, and regulatory compliance.
  • Documents individual plans of care with defined goals in collaboration with interprofessional team members.
  • Uses critical nursing skills to assess and evaluate patient needs.
  • Communicates care plans across the continuum of care.

Required skills

  • Nursing Diploma or Associate's degree in Nursing
  • Registered Nurse (RN) license
  • Experience in patient care and nursing processes
  • Skills in collaboration, assessment, and patient education
