Overview

Olymel is seeking a Category Manager to join their dynamic team in Boucherville, Quebec. This role focuses on managing and controlling procurement strategies, negotiating with key suppliers, and ensuring the efficiency and quality of operations.

Key responsibilities

  • Define purchasing strategies for all product categories.
  • Negotiate and implement agreements with key suppliers, including strategic alliances.
  • Develop a pipeline of annual savings and identify market improvement opportunities.
  • Monitor market trends and contribute to product innovation.
  • Establish supplier performance metrics and create tools for tenders and agreement tracking.
  • Support factories and suppliers by reducing costs while maintaining data integrity.

Required skills

  • Bachelor's degree in business administration or engineering or relevant experience
  • 7 to 10 years of experience in the field
  • Advanced Excel skills
  • Familiarity with SAP management system (a plus)
  • Negotiation skills
  • Leadership ability
  • Adaptability
