Job Description

Overview

Borea Construction is seeking a Project Manager to oversee and execute construction projects under the supervision of the Construction Director. This site-based role requires extensive geographical mobility and involves managing all project phases, ensuring adherence to timelines and budgets, while collaborating with clients, suppliers, and subcontractors.

Key responsibilities

  • Act as the company's representative on-site
  • Plan project tasks, develop schedules, estimate works, and control costs
  • Maintain good relationships with the community, clients, suppliers, and project team
  • Coordinate work with the project team
  • Establish work methods in collaboration with job site leaders and project supervisors
  • Negotiate and approve the selection of main subcontractors
  • Manage procurement
  • Organize and lead site meetings as needed
  • Participate in client meetings and disseminate necessary information for project execution
  • Conduct internal meetings to effectively communicate relevant information
  • Ensure compliance and have the authority to stop non-compliant activities
  • Oversee administrative follow-up (costs, productivity, contracts)
  • Ensure technical follow-up (technical sheets, inspections)
  • Manage change order follow-ups
  • Supervise payments to clients and suppliers
  • Coordinate preliminary work inspections with site leaders
  • Deliver the project and obtain final client acceptance
  • Report performance indicators to management

Required skills

  • Bachelor's degree in civil engineering, mechanical engineering, electrical engineering, or construction
  • Professional engineering membership
  • Over 8 years of experience in civil construction
  • Over 5 years of experience in solar construction
  • Excellent communication skills in English
  • Strong management, negotiation, and problem-solving skills
  • Ability to show initiative, autonomy, and leadership
  • Strong team management and conflict resolution skills
  • Great administrative rigor and geographical mobility
  • Valid driver's license
  • Ability to adapt to stressful environments and climatic variations
  • Proficient in Microsoft Office suite and project management tools
