Overview

EcoMech Geothermal and Mechanical is seeking a Geothermal Loop & Plumbing Technician in Palmetto, Georgia. The company focuses on geothermal HVAC systems for residential and commercial properties, and the role offers opportunities for responsibility and advancement in a close-knit team environment.

Key responsibilities

  • Manage the installation and tie-in of geothermal loops in various systems
  • Operate a mini-excavator for trenching and earth movement
  • Coordinate with drillers for drilling, grouting, and loop-laying
  • Purge loops and install flow-centers and other HVAC components
  • Perform work independently and oversee subcontractors
  • Conduct complex gas piping work on new construction projects

Required skills

  • 5+ years of experience in HVAC, gas piping, plumbing, or mechanical technician roles
  • Comfort or enthusiasm for learning plumbing and gas piping
  • Understanding of gas piping and plumbing construction codes
  • Familiarity with mechanical systems and new construction
  • Ability to operate a mini-excavator and willingness to learn drilling rig operation
