Overview

The General Service Technician at Heartland Tire Inc. is responsible for performing essential preventative maintenance tasks such as oil changes and tire evaluations. This role involves delivering excellent customer service and making recommendations to the Service Manager based on customer needs.

Key responsibilities

  • Provide friendly and respectful customer service
  • Change oil and transmission fluid and filters
  • Evaluate tire pressure and ensure proper inflation
  • Recommend tires, parts, and services to the Service Manager
  • Maintain a clean and safe work environment
  • Cross train in other areas as needed
  • Perform other assigned duties

Required skills

  • Valid Driver's License
  • High School Diploma or GED
  • ASE Certifications or technical school degree (preferred)
  • Mechanical skills
  • Customer service
