Job Description

Overview

The General Service Technician at Heartland Tire Inc is responsible for performing basic preventative maintenance functions such as oil changes and tire pressure evaluations. This role contributes to customer satisfaction by providing friendly service and making recommendations regarding needed parts and services.

Key responsibilities

  • Provide helpful and respectful customer service
  • Change oil and/or transmission fluid and filters
  • Evaluate tire pressure and ensure proper inflation
  • Recommend tires, parts, and services to the Service Manager
  • Maintain a clean and safe work environment
  • Cross train in other areas as needed
  • Perform other duties as assigned

Required skills

  • Valid Driver's License
  • High School Diploma or GED
  • ASE Certifications and/or a technical school degree (preferred)
  • Vehicle maintenance
