Job Description

Overview

The General Manager for Northwest Seed at Native Seed will oversee daily operations, including sales, office management, and warehouse activities. Reporting to the VP of Ag Sales, the role involves managing staff, financial processes, and inventory, while ensuring customer needs are met with expert agronomic advice.

Key responsibilities

  • Oversee day-to-day operations of Northwest Seed
  • Manage sales and office administration including accounts receivable and payable
  • Develop pricing for wholesale and retail seed products
  • Provide agronomic advice and seed planting recommendations
  • Manage warehouse personnel and seasonal hiring
  • Schedule deliveries and maintain warehouse inventory
  • Oversee seed conditioning operations and maintain compliance with state regulations

Required skills

  • Proficient in Microsoft Office 365 applications
  • Experience in seed production systems
  • Strong communication and flexibility skills
  • Forklift and CDL preferred
  • Mechanical ability and willingness to obtain a commercial chemical applicator license
  • BS degree in Agronomy or Range Science is ideal
