Job Description

Overview

Transdev is seeking a General Manager in Modesto, CA, who will play a critical role in ensuring operational excellence in transportation services. The ideal candidate will focus on safety, customer service, and the effective management of contractual relationships, while overseeing various operational departments to maintain compliance and efficiency.

Key responsibilities

  • Handle all contractual services, including operations and administrative functions
  • Provide oversight of safety, training, and maintenance departments
  • Ensure compliance with company procedures, policies, and regulations
  • Analyze, prepare, and develop budgets and forecasts
  • Develop action plans to improve operational efficiencies and ensure customer retention
  • Provide leadership and guidance to develop personnel and training requirements
  • Satisfy client, corporate, and contractual reporting requirements

Required skills

  • 3-5 years of experience managing paratransit and fixed-route service
  • Experience with budget management and P&L responsibility
  • Contract negotiation skills
  • Strong communication and relationship-building abilities
  • Computer literacy, including proficiency in Microsoft Excel and Word
  • Knowledge of local, state, and federal laws and regulations
