Job Description

Overview

Trademasters is looking for an experienced General Maintenance Worker to support GSA distribution warehouse facilities in Springfield, VA. This role involves performing routine maintenance and repairs to ensure the smooth operation of critical facilities, either independently or in collaboration with other maintenance team members.

Key responsibilities

  • Perform routine preventive and corrective maintenance on facility systems and equipment
  • Conduct inspections of buildings, equipment, and work areas to identify maintenance needs
  • Assist with repairs involving building structures, plumbing fixtures, HVAC, and electrical components
  • Operate hand tools, power tools, and maintenance equipment safely
  • Document completed work, materials used, and equipment conditions
  • Respond to facility service requests and complete assigned work orders
  • Support emergency maintenance activities as needed

Required skills

  • 2-5 years of general building maintenance experience
  • Knowledge of mechanical, electrical, plumbing, and building maintenance practices
  • Ability to troubleshoot and repair common facility issues
  • Experience using hand tools, power tools, and maintenance equipment
  • Forklift certification
  • Ability to work safely in warehouse and commercial environments
  • Experience with computerized maintenance management systems (CMMS)
