Overview

The General Inspector at U.S. Tsubaki Automotive, LLC is responsible for performing repetitive inspections and packing of chain products to ensure conformity to specifications. The role involves working with fixed gauges and conducting visual inspections as part of the quality control process in a manufacturing environment.

Key responsibilities

  • Perform repetitive inspection and packaging of chain products using fixed gauges
  • Visually inspect products to ensure conformity to specifications
  • Check length, width, radii, and surface condition of products
  • Record production and time data for payroll reporting
  • Sort non-conforming materials according to specifications
  • Maintain cleanliness and order in the work area and follow safety regulations
  • Assist with minor troubleshooting of stringer machines

Required skills

  • High school diploma or equivalent preferred
  • 0-3 years of experience in a manufacturing environment
  • Strong focus on quality and safety
  • Ability to work in a team and fast-paced environment
  • Good mechanical aptitude and problem-solving skills
  • Basic computer skills
  • Experience with material handling devices such as hand trucks and hydraulic lift trucks
