Overview

The General Accountant - Income Auditor at Marriott International is responsible for maintaining accurate financial records and ensuring the integrity of financial information. This includes organizing and safeguarding financial documents, preparing financial reports, and managing cash handling procedures in accordance with company policies.

Key responsibilities

  • Check figures, postings, and documents for accuracy
  • Organize, secure, and maintain all files, records, cash and cash equivalents
  • Record, store, access, and analyze computerized financial information
  • Classify, code, and summarize numerical and financial data
  • Prepare, maintain, audit, and distribute financial and accounting reports
  • Complete period-end closing procedures and reports
  • Prepare, review, reconcile, and issue bills and account statements
  • Follow up on past due accounts and vendor invoices
  • Prepare daily consolidated deposits of cash
  • Document, maintain, and act on Cash Variances
  • Prepare and maintain cashier banks and contracts
  • Ensure compliance with company policies and standards
  • Develop and maintain positive working relationships with team members
  • Perform other reasonable job duties as requested by Supervisors
