Overview

The General Accountant at Marriott International will be responsible for ensuring accuracy in financial reporting, maintaining financial records, and overseeing cash management processes. This role supports the broader operations of the Ritz-Carlton brand, which values exceptional service and adherence to its Gold Standards.

Key responsibilities

  • Check figures, postings, and documents for accuracy.
  • Organize and maintain files and records in accordance with policies.
  • Record and analyze computerized financial information.
  • Prepare and audit financial and statistical reports.
  • Complete period-end closing procedures.
  • Prepare and issue bills, invoices, and account statements.
  • Follow up on past due accounts and vendor invoices.
  • Document and communicate cash variances.
  • Maintain cashier banks and contracts.
  • Support team collaboration and maintain positive working relationships.
