Overview

The Gender Research Officer role at Cuso International involves volunteering to enhance the capabilities of the Caribbean Vulnerable Communities in analyzing and interpreting research outcomes related to the LGBTQIA+ community's experiences in the Caribbean. The position requires collaboration with local partners to support advocacy efforts using research findings.

Key responsibilities

  • Review existing research focused on the experiences of LGBTQIA+ individuals in the Caribbean
  • Assist in advocacy efforts by utilizing research outcomes
  • Compile and analyze research documents through a gender-responsive perspective
  • Support the Eastern Caribbean Alliance for Gender Equality in related initiatives

Required skills

  • University degree in social/political sciences, international development, human rights, gender studies, social work, la
  • At least 3 years of experience in advancing gender equality and diversity issues
  • Experience collaborating with civil society organizations
  • Proficient in data analysis and measurement techniques
