Overview

The Gender Research Officer role at Cuso International focuses on enhancing the capabilities of the Caribbean Vulnerable Communities (CVC) by analyzing and interpreting research outcomes related to the LGBTQIA+ community in the Caribbean. The volunteer will support advocacy efforts and contribute to gender-responsive research initiatives.

Key responsibilities

  • Review existing research on LGBTQIA+ experiences in the Caribbean
  • Assist in advocacy efforts using research outcomes
  • Support the Eastern Caribbean Alliance for Gender Equality (ECADE) in initiatives
  • Compile and analyze research findings from a gender-responsive perspective

Required skills

  • University degree in social/political sciences, international development, human rights, gender studies, social work, la
  • At least 3 years of experience in gender equality and diversity
  • Experience working with civil society organizations
  • Proficient in data analysis and measurement techniques
