Job Description

Overview

UCHealth is seeking a board-eligible or certified Gastroenterology Physician Assistant or Nurse Practitioner to join their team in Pueblo, Colorado. The role focuses on outpatient care, with a Monday to Friday schedule, no nights or weekends, and support from dedicated staff in a busy clinic environment.

Key responsibilities

  • Provide excellent patient care in a 100% outpatient setting
  • Work directly with a GI physician
  • Manage a patient load of approximately 20 patients per day
  • Utilize EPIC EMR system for patient records

Required skills

  • Bachelor or Master's Degree in Physician Assistant Studies or Nursing
  • Unrestricted license to practice as a Physician Assistant or Nurse Practitioner in Colorado
  • PA-C certification issued by NCCPA or Nurse Practitioner certification from ANCC/AANPCB
  • Unrestricted DEA permit for prescribing medications
  • Basic Life Support (BLS) certification
  • Healthcare and medical experience, particularly in gastroenterology
