Overview

Jackson and Coker is seeking a Board Certified Gastroenterology Physician for a locum tenens position in Marquette, Michigan. This role involves scheduled clinical hours, on-call duties, and performing various gastrointestinal procedures in a well-established endoscopy team setting.

Key responsibilities

  • Conduct clinical hours Monday-Friday with an overnight and weekend call schedule
  • Perform a variety of procedures including upper and lower GI endoscopy, PEG placement, and more
  • Supervise residents and teach as required
  • Charting and pathology follow-up responsibilities
  • Utilize EMR systems like Athena, Cerner, and gGastro

Required skills

  • Board Certification in Gastroenterology
  • Licensed in Michigan
  • ABLS, ACLS, ATLS, BLS certifications
  • Upper GI and lower GI endoscopy skills
  • Procedure skills including ERCP, sigmoidoscopy, and endoscopic ultrasound
  • Experience with Olympus equipment
  • Team collaboration and patient care
