Job Description

Overview

Aya Locums is seeking a Gastroenterology physician for locum tenens coverage at a Level 1, 434-bed hospital with flexible scheduling options available throughout 2026. While full-time coverage is preferred, physicians committing to at least 7 consecutive days per month will be considered.

Key responsibilities

  • Provide locum tenens coverage for Gastroenterology services
  • Work in a Level 1 hospital with an adult patient population
  • Manage patient care for an undetermined number of patients per day
  • Participate in day shifts from 7:00 AM to 3:00 PM
  • Be available for night beeper call Monday to Friday and 24-hour beeper call on weekends

Required skills

  • Board Certified/Board Eligible in Gastroenterology
  • Experience with EMR systems, specifically EPIC
  • Ability to provide a minimum of 7 consecutive days of coverage per month
