Overview

Pacific Companies is seeking a Gastroenterologist for inpatient locum coverage in California's Central Valley. This role involves a mix of prime-time procedures and 24/7 on-call duties, providing a wide range of advanced GI cases in a supportive environment.

Key responsibilities

  • Provide onsite coverage for GI procedures 4-6 hours/day
  • Manage 24/7 on-call responsibilities
  • Perform ERCP, dilation, sphincterotomy, and stent placement
  • Conduct endoscopy, colonoscopy, EGD, esophageal dilatation, biopsies, and foreign body removal
  • Manage GI bleeds, perform banding, polypectomies, and sclerotherapy
  • EUS preferred but not required

Required skills

  • Board-Certified or Board-Eligible in Gastroenterology
  • Active California medical license
  • DEA registration and ACLS certification
  • Experience with EMR systems, specifically Cerner
  • Clean malpractice history preferred
