Aya Locums is seeking a locum Gastroenterology Physician for an acute care hospital in Tucson, Arizona. This position is responsible for diagnosing and treating digestive system disorders, performing endoscopic procedures, and collaborating with other healthcare specialists. Key responsibilities

  • Diagnose and treat digestive system disorders in adults and potentially children.
  • Conduct comprehensive patient histories and physical examinations.
  • Order and interpret diagnostic tests such as endoscopies, X-rays, CT scans, and blood tests.
  • Perform endoscopic procedures to diagnose and treat conditions.
  • Develop and implement treatment plans for patients.
  • Manage chronic digestive conditions and provide ongoing patient care.
  • Collaborate with surgeons, radiologists, and other specialists.
  • Educate patients on digestive health and disease prevention.
  • Maintain accurate and complete medical records.
