Overview

Jackson and Coker Locum Tenens is seeking a Board Certified Gastroenterology Physician for a locum assignment in Marquette, Michigan. The role involves providing gastroenterology services, including various endoscopic procedures, during a scheduled clinical hours and call rotation.

Key responsibilities

  • Perform upper and lower GI endoscopy procedures
  • Supervise resident/teaching activities
  • Manage patient care with daily consultations
  • Charting and follow-up on pathology results
  • Respond to call within 20 minutes
  • Utilize Olympus equipment in procedural suites

Required skills

  • Board Certified in Gastroenterology
  • Licensed in Michigan
  • BLS, ACLS, ABLS, ATLS certification
  • Experience with ERCP and endoscopic procedures
  • Ability to perform PEG placement and esophageal manometry
  • Familiarity with EMR systems like Athena and Cerner
