Overview

The Gastroenterology Physician will provide inpatient-only care, focusing on rounding and performing scheduled procedures without outpatient or night call responsibilities. The role requires coverage on specific dates in January 2026, with ongoing needs anticipated throughout the year.

Key responsibilities

  • Perform inpatient rounding and diagnostic and therapeutic GI procedures
  • Conduct ERCP and EUS procedures
  • Consult on patients in a hospital setting
  • Engage in daily patient consultations and procedures
  • Work 12-hour shifts from 7:00 a.m. to 7:00 p.m.

Required skills

  • Board Certified in Gastroenterology
  • Active Georgia license or IMLC accepted
  • Experience with ERCP and EUS procedures
  • BLS and ACLS certification required
  • Experience in diagnostic and therapeutic GI procedures
  • Familiarity with EPIC EMR system
