Overview

Sunshine Disposal & Recycling is seeking a full-time Refuse Truck Driver in Lewiston, ID. The role involves operating automated refuse collection trucks in both residential and commercial areas, with a focus on safety and compliance with regulations.

Key responsibilities

  • Operate automated refuse collection trucks on fixed routes
  • Perform pre-trip and post-trip vehicle inspections
  • Complete daily vehicle inspection reports (DVIR)
  • Communicate effectively with route supervisors regarding issues
  • Dump and clean the truck at the end of each shift
  • Submit route work information via tablet and paper
  • Attend scheduled safety and training meetings
  • Perform special projects as assigned by management

Required skills

  • Class A or B CDL (no air brake restriction)
  • Valid DOT medical card
  • Knowledge of safety compliance and regulations
  • Basic computer literacy
  • Vehicle inspection skills
  • Ability to navigate routes using provided information
  • Two years of commercial driving experience
  • Ability to lift up to 60 pounds
