Job Description

Overview

Eckerd Connects is seeking Functional Family Therapists to join their team in Pittsburg, Kansas, focusing on delivering Functional Family Therapy (FFT) to families with adolescents. This hybrid position offers flexibility with a manageable caseload, allowing therapists to make a meaningful difference in clients' lives.

Key responsibilities

  • Conduct assessments and provide direct clinical treatment using FFT principles
  • Document treatment efforts clearly to meet contract requirements
  • Provide weekly one-hour home-based family therapy sessions for families with adolescents
  • Engage primary caregivers and key participants in active change-oriented treatment
  • Identify family relationships and risk/protective factors impacting behavior patterns
  • Develop and update individualized service plans collaboratively with youth and family
  • Ensure timely administration of Strengths and Needs Assessment at intake and discharge

Required skills

  • Bachelor's degree in Psychology, Social Work, Counseling, or related field
  • Master's degree preferred
  • Licensure as a Social Worker or relevant mental health counselor preferred
  • 2 years of experience in individual, group, or family counseling
  • Experience in in-home services and with FFT preferred
  • Bilingual proficiency in English and Spanish highly desirable
  • Valid state driver's license and ability to travel for home visits
  • Flexible schedule including nights and weekends
