Key ResponsibilitiesConduct thorough assessments to gauge patients' physical health needs, utilizing standardized tests and professional judgment to inform your evaluations.Develop individualized treatment plans based on assessment findings, incorporating evidence-based methodologies tailored to each patient's unique condition.Implement targeted physical therapy interventions aimed at improving mobility, strength, and overall physical function, collaborating closely with other healthcare professionals as needed.Educate patients and their families about treatment options, therapeutic exercises, and proper techniques to promote self-management and independence in their recovery.Document all patient interactions in accordance with HIPAA regulations, ensuring accurate records are maintained for compliance and effective treatment tracking.Facilitate group therapy sessions to support community engagement and shared learning experiences among patients facing similar challenges.Actively participate in team meetings and case consultations, contributing to an ongoing dialogue about patient progress and treatment efficacy.Stay informed about the latest advancements in physical therapy practices and continually seek opportunities for your professional development. Patient Population / Client Focus The patient population at Health Coast Behavioral Center includes individuals dealing with a broad spectrum of mental health challenges, many of whom may also present with physical health issues stemming from their conditions. You will work closely with adults and adolescents who have varying backgrounds and health needs, making it essential to employ a compassionate and flexible approach that respects their individual experiences and perspectives. QualificationsA Bachelor's Degree in Physical Therapy or a related field from an accredited institution is required.Current and valid licensure as a Physical Therapist in the state of California is mandatory.In-depth knowledge of musculoskeletal conditions, rehabilitation practices, and evidence-based treatment strategies is essential.Proven experience in conducting physical health assessments, developing treatment plans, and delivering rehabilitative therapies.Excellent verbal and written communication skills to effectively interact with patients, families, and healthcare team members.A professional demeanor that reflects a commitment to ethical practices and patient confidentiality.Proficiency in maintaining electronic health records (EHR) and familiarity with health documentation software.
