Work Environment Located in the vibrant city of Oakland, CA, our outpatient office provides a welcoming and professional environment conducive to therapeutic work. Our team collaborates closely with psychiatrists, psychologists, and mental health counselors to offer comprehensive care. The typical work schedule is Monday to Friday from 9:00 AM to 5:00 PM, with some flexibility required based on patient needs. In this role, you will have the opportunity to build meaningful relationships with patients while working in a friendly and collaborative team atmosphere. Key ResponsibilitiesConduct thorough physical health assessments to identify patient needs related to physical therapy and develop tailored intervention strategies.Implement evidence-based physical therapy techniques and modalities to facilitate patient rehabilitation and improve overall physical health.Collaborate with multidisciplinary teams to create and adjust treatment plans that integrate physical health goals with mental health support.Educate patients and their families on physical health issues, self-management strategies, and preventive care.Maintain accurate and up-to-date documentation conforming to legal and ethical standards, ensuring patient confidentiality.Engage in regular case consultations and team meetings to discuss patient progress and treatment efficacy.Stay informed about the latest developments in physical therapy practices to continually enhance treatment modalities. QualificationsBachelor's degree in Physical Therapy or a related field from an accredited institution.Current and valid licensure to practice as a physical therapist in the state of California.Demonstrated understanding of physical therapy practices, evidence-based treatment strategies, and ability to work collaboratively within a mental health framework.Strong assessment skills to evaluate physical health conditions, guiding effective treatment planning.Exceptional communication skills, both verbal and written, for effective patient interaction and documentation.
