Overview

The Inventory Specialist at Arnold Motor Supply is responsible for maintaining accurate inventory levels within the distribution center. This role involves cycle counts, reconciliations, and audits to ensure the integrity of inventory records while collaborating with other departments to support efficient material flow and order fulfillment.

Key responsibilities

  • Perform regular cycle counts, audits, and reconciliations to ensure inventory accuracy.
  • Investigate and resolve inventory discrepancies in a timely manner.
  • Maintain inventory records in the Warehouse Management System (WMS).
  • Monitor stock levels and communicate shortages and overages to management.
  • Support receiving, stocking, and shipping activities as needed.
  • Assist with physical inventory counts and preparation for annual audits.
  • Ensure compliance with company policies, safety standards, and operational procedures.
  • Identify and recommend process improvements to strengthen inventory control.
  • Provide reporting and data analysis on inventory metrics as requested.
